Role Purpose

The role will be supporting the Group President’s strategic programmes (reporting to Director – Programme Management Office), managing and driving forward several country expansions and other priority initiatives.

  • Manage at an operational level one or more new country rollouts and/or transformations, coordinating projects cross-functionally
  • Coordinating and influencing stakeholders at all levels of seniority and holding them to account
  • Managing the day-to-day project routine and delivery processes
  • Developing and managing project budgets
  • Independent problem solving and escalation of issues to the right altitude and audience
  • Running various working groups or committees up to senior stakeholder level
  •  Preparation of presentations, reports, workshops, travel and other adhoc deliverables within the PMO
  • The ability to navigate the organisation, pulling in the correct resources or inputs as required
  • Global travel as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Diverse/generalist experience in finance/fintech preferred or similarly regulated sector
  •  Strong communication skills and ability to manage functional teams across all levels of seniority
  • Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly in a complex environment, dealing with regulators and expert internal stakeholders
  • Track record in delivery of complex, cross-functional strategic projects and people management
  • Financial literacy in so far as it relates to building business cases or understanding highly structured and regulated products
  • Experience of managing global teams and expansions preferable
  • Cross-functional fluency including technology, operations, risk, compliance, human resources, legal, marketing, tax, and finance
  • Governance experience including SLA’s, policies, governance committees,
  • A global MBA degree preferred, or experience of building a business in an employment
  • Excellent communication and briefing skills, being able to tailor message for specific audiences
  • Cultural dexterity, maturity and ability to influence beyond role or title
  • The ability to balance multiple competing deliverables and prioritise as required
  • A willingness to learn, flexibility and ability to perform under significant pressure
