Role Purpose

To work on a range of internal and external dataset, using everything available in the data science toolkit. Designing solutions to either maximise profitability or automate existing processes through the development and deployment of codes and/or algorithms.

Accountabilities

  • Analyse internal and external business data to provide insight to the origination/distribution/marketing teams
  • Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to design and develop solutions to business problems
  • Assist with the productionisation of analytical deliveries
  • Develop new products and pricing models in supply chain finance
  • Help understand and identify new opportunities within the business and develop solutions using data science
  • Develop, assist implementation and maintain internal applications built in Python or other languages
  • Provide quantitative support to the origination team for “pre-deal portfolio risk and regulatory/ economic capital analysis”
  • Assist with the building of the Greensill data estate

Skills and Abilities

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Good knowledge of Python and at least one of the following: SQL, SAS, R
  • Experience of end to end data science delivery
  • Strong knowledge and track record of stats/ML techniques
  • Develop and implement scenario analysis using various statistical models
  • An understanding of software development best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, making the complex, non-complex
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Thrives in a collaborative teamworking environment
  • Enjoys working at pace
  • Customer centric mindset with a can-do attitude
  • High degree of personal integrity, honesty and professionalism
