Role Profile

As a result of Greensill's rapid growth, the Finance Project Assistant is a newly created role to support our Finance Project Assistant. This is 12 month Fixed Term Contract focused on business critical finance projects. You will be required to support the Project Accountant in overall project delivery, take responsibility for specific developments and help develop financial process that is fit for purpose and future proofed.

  • Assist in the end-to-end delivery of all finance projects, this will include documentation of existing processes, alongside system notes and process flowcharts for new processes
  • Support all business change resulting from project implementation, this will include working across departments and engagement with stakeholders
  • Design and implement financial controls appropriate to the business activities
  • Write quality financial policy documenting the financial controls in operation
  • Training finance team members, and process stakeholders, on newly implemented processes, including the production of user guides and training manuals
  • Take ownership of data management and cleanse tasks required during the delivery of the wider finance project
  • Support our systems team in the development of Oracle NetSuite
  • Support in project management and reporting to Financial Senior Leadership Team

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have previous experience of implementing and documenting financial controls
  • Involvement in project work, including taking ownership for implementation of new processes
  • Experience of Oracle NetSuite would be beneficial, as would multi-currency experience
  • Attention to detail with ‘completer-finisher’ mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to manage own workload including the prioritisation of tasks
  • Experience of wider accounting processes such as transaction processing and reporting to assist engagement with teams
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment resulting in continual change
