Role Purpose

The individual would be a central co-ordination point with the finance team to plan, direct and implement new systems and processes to aid with an improved and efficient business model for consolidations and revenue recognition. The individual will be required to have an existing broad finance knowledge base across all financial specialisms to ensure cohesive strategy and adoption of new processes.

  • Full project management from a finance perspective including regular updates to all stakeholders
  • Design, build and implement data modeling for a full consolidated revenue recognition process. Automation of processes to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.
  • Selection, implementation and testing of a full consolidation system, such as SigmaConso, Oracle Hyperion, Cognos or CaseWare, with linked integration to our existing Oracle Netsuite ledger system
  • Full documentation of designed processes and policies for future adoption
  • Handover of designed processes on go-live to finance teams
  • Ad hoc duties which often arise

Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of core finance systems and system integration
  • Experience of designing, building and implementation of complex financial modelling platforms, with reference to large scale data sets
  • Qualified accountant, with breadth of financial experience and knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards, particularly IFRS 10, 15 and IFRS 9
  • Strong Excel skills are a requirement, Access skills would be of benefit
  • Wider understanding, or prior implementation, of finance systems would be desirable
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situation
  • Clear communicator with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Hands on approach with ability to get into the detail; individual will be central to delivery of all required tasks
  • Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment resulting in continual change
