Role Profile

As a result of Greensill's rapid growth, this is a newly created role to drive improvement and support the existing finance reporting structure. As Financial Reporting Manager you will be a central manager for the existing team of Management Accountants, responsible for the production of the management accounts alongside other key deliverables.

You will also be required to lead financial development projects and assist in embedding financial controls. The role will be a key link between the wider finance team, the business, and our financial planning functions.

Accountabilities

  • Improve financial reporting, accountability and drive business partnering ethos
  • Lead a growing Management Accountants team to ensure that month-end results are complete, accurate and timely
  • Production of the group management accounts, this includes ownership and accountability of the figures produced
  • Ensure team delivery of fully reconciled P&L and B/S
  • Develop the Management Accounting function into a business partnering operation with strong relationships into the wider business functions
  • Work across functions to improve data flows, business engagement and support financial planning
  • Support the financial planning team through the production of ad hoc management information
  • Continual development and evolution of finance processes and procedures to:
    • Support business change and growth
    • Implement and embed financial controls
    • Implement key financial improvement projects
  • Ownership of the Chart of Accounts, including functional analysis structures

Skills and Abilities

  • Qualified accountant, with significant management accounts preparation experience
  • Experience of leading and developing a performing team
  • Experience of the Financial Services sectors would be preferable
  • Hands on approach with ability to get into the detail and understand complex transactions and decide how to account for them properly
  • Understanding of change management
  • Proven experience of project work, including taking ownership for the implementation of new processes
  • Experience of multi-currency and international business would be advantageous
  • Experience of Oracle NetSuite would be beneficial
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment resulting in continual change
