Role Profile

As a result of Greensill's rapid growth, the Financial Systems and Project Accountant is a newly created role within our Finance Team. This is a key role to help drive finance system development, assist in financial improvement projects and take on-going responsibility for system maintenance.

Accountabilities

  • Reconfiguration and development of our existing Oracle NetSuite system and assist in the automation of manual processes to gain efficiencies and embed financial control
  • Conduct own system testing and lead UAT for all newly implemented processes
  • Train finance team members on newly implemented processes, including the production of user guides and training manuals
  • Support all business change resulting from project implementation, this will include working across departments and engagement with stakeholders
  • Suggest and implement further improvements to our financial processes and systems
  • Lead testing on periodic system upgrades
  • Recommend the optimum way of maintaining systems going forward taking account of the need for accurate and timely reporting, system security and segregation of duties
  • Engage in wider finance system administration as new systems are implemented (e.g. expenses system, statutory reporting and consolidation software)

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have previous experience of developing and maintaining Oracle NetSuite, or a comparable finance system
  • Proven experience of project work, including taking ownership for the implementation of new processes
  • Attention to detail with ‘completer-finisher’ mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage own workload including the prioritisation of tasks
  • Experience of wider accounting processes such as transaction processing and reporting to assist engagement with teams
  • Prior experience of ERP implementation may become relevant in the long term and therefore would be of benefit
  • Experience of multi-currency would be beneficial
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment resulting in continual change
