Role Profile

Reporting to the Head of Assurance Risk and Compliance (HOARC) you will develop a compliance and risk framework in line with the business requirements and the wider financial industry. It will be your job to oversee, challenge, report and guide on compliance frameworks including the appetite to Risk Committee and key stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Manage the Compliance Team, championing a high-performance environment and implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains and develops high performers, and motivates teams by fostering an inclusive work environment
  • Develop, implement and review a compliance framework and approach across Greensill
  • Oversee the Compliance risk appetite and reporting metrics
  • Ensure a consistent and proportionate approach to the implementation of a compliance oversight programme
  • Accountable for horizon scanning and upstream risk management to ensure new regulation/ legislation impacting Greensill across the global offices is identified, understood and effective actions are taken to implement the required changes
  • Lead an effective stakeholder relationship process to provide timely and accurate advice and guidance on regulatory conduct matters
  • Develop, implement and maintain firm-wide policy framework, including policies, procedures and practical guidance.
  • Support any required training or education to ensure effective and consistent adherence across the business
  • Provide effective review and challenge to the business on emerging compliance risks
  • Help spearhead efforts to obtain, maintain and/ or renew relevant regulatory licences including the preparation and submission of all required documentation
  • Support the CRO and HOARC on all aspects of Compliance; and the wider Risk Team as directed by line management

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience of dealing with regulators and working within a similar role
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven experience of direct line management
  • Expertise and knowledge of the regulatory and compliance agenda
  • Demonstrable experience of developing compliance frameworks
  • Proven experience of leading organisations through strategic change
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess key risks
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and build effective relationships
  • Excellent communicator at all levels both written and verbally
  • Results driven, with the ability and initiative to drive quality output
  • Resilient and able to thrive in a fast paced and challenging working environment
  • Degree level education or equivalent (Law/Business/Finance subjects preferred)
  • ICA Diploma or equivalent Compliance/ Risk/ Audit qualification
  • MIFID and/or PSD experience would be advantageous
