Role Purpose

To support the Payroll Team in meeting objectives whilst working through various large-scale payroll related project life cycles. This is a fixed term contract for 6-9 months.

Provide an efficient and customer focused service:

  • Produce weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports and analysis for payroll processing and other departments where required
  • Reconcile weekly/monthly reports and payment transfers
  • Maintain and document new procedures and enhance existing controls daily
  • Keeping accurate records for payroll reporting purposes ensuring full compliance with GDPR and audit regulations
  • Managing workloads proficiently and independently
  • Ensuring project tasks allocated are completed consistently on time
  • Escalating exceptions and providing status updates to Payroll Manager
  • Communicating with key stakeholders at all levels at relevant stages
  • Respond to all queries from colleagues, managers and third parties within service level agreement time frames
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Some UK payroll experience
  • Outstanding analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • High degree of personal integrity and professionalism
  • Understand the need to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Customer centric mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to engage with individuals at all levels
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Inquisitive with desire to learn in a complex environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert/Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
