Role Purpose

First point of contact for all non-UK payroll queries, supporting the delivery of a professional, proactive, accurate and timely payroll service to the business and colleagues

Provide an efficient and customer focused service:

  • Respond to payroll and benefit queries from non-UK employees, managers and third parties within service level agreement time frames
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Help resolve queries and disputes in a professional and timely manner Accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits
  • Prepare and process non-UK payrolls, working with external payroll vendor
  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Support the processing and maintenance of payroll for other jurisdictions during team absences
  • Liaise with benefit providers/People Team to ensure correct details are reflected in the payrolls
  • Assist with Tax Year End responsibilities, including fringe benefit submissions

Other payroll and reporting activities:

  • Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports and analysis for the Finance function, and other departments where required
  • Reconcile monthly reports and payment transfers
  • Maintain and document new procedures and enhance existing controls daily
  • Ensure all employee data is handled sensitively in accordance with GDPR requirements
  • Monitor sick leave
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders such as the People (HR) Team to help streamline system and process improvements
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience of end to end global payroll processing in a similar role
  • Outstanding analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Proven experience and understanding of the complexities of process payrolls for US and/or India
  • High degree of personal integrity and professionalism
  • Understand the need to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Customer centric mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to engage with individuals at all levels
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Inquisitive with desire to learn in a complex environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert/Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Desirable but not essential:

  • Payroll implementation experience
  • Experience of global payroll for other countries (e.g. Australia, Germany, Singapore, South Africa, UAE, China and/or Brazil)
