Role Purpose

In this role, the Quality Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Quality Framework. Communication skills are a must-have as you’ll be a collaborative team player, working closely with Control and Issue teams, as well the Operational areas. You’ll be able to work with initiative, be adaptable and able to work to deadlines. You’ll be expected to organise yours and your team’s workload effectively and manage multiple tasks given from the senior quality and control manager

Accountabilities

  • Support the implementation and embedding of a quality framework
  • Organise and plan your team’s quality checking strategy to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Actively promote continuous improvement, working closely with colleagues by identifying greater operational efficiencies
  • Keep up to date with external standards and practices
  • Support the wider Operations teams a directed by senior line management.
  • Undertake performance management trend analysis
  • Manage the induction/training plan for new employees to the Quality Team
  • Monitor productivity and performance
  • Carry out spot checks on the quality of work produced by Quality Team member

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience of working within a quality control environment
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to build relationships across business units
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced time driven environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise requests and workloads
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a high degree of drive, determination and motivation to succeed
  • Logical thinker with an ability to provide clear and concise rationale to a given situation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate with senior members of the organisation
  • Experience of driving process improvements
