Role Purpose

To support the Head of Compliance (HOC) developing and implementing a risk toolkit of policies and standard operating procedures, including drafting and supporting the implementation of an effective risk policy framework. The role includes liaison with Origination, Customer Onboarding, Risk and Operations across the business.

Accountabilities

  • Develop the Greensill Risk policy framework and procedures across the jurisdictions with which Greensill operates
  • Support the HOC to roll out new policies, procedures and guidance
  • Manage and oversee the Greensill Risk Academy and Training Framework
  • Track, analyse and carry out impact assessments and provide expert advice on new regulations, enforcement actions and consultations to ensure that Greensill Risk Policy and Procedures follows regulatory requirements and best practice;
  • Lead policy projects to deliver necessary and appropriate changes within Greenill’s policy framework
  • Support the HOC in horizon scanning and upstream risk management to ensure new regulation/ legislation impacting Greensill across the global offices is identified and incorporated into new policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the ongoing reconciliation programme, ensuring training is delivered on time, to the correct population and reconciling data
  • Management of the annual compliance policy plan, ensuring policies are reviewed and issued in a timely manner and in the correct format;
  • Follow international regulatory developments on an ongoing basis; and
  • Support the championing of a proactive Compliance risk culture across the business.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of risk policies and procedures in a globally regulated financial services firm
  • In-depth understanding of financial regulation, its drivers and the role of policy frameworks
  • Proven experience of driving continuous improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Technical knowledge of at least one of the following areas: banking, capital markets, securities, funds, etc. or a demonstrable ability to develop technical expertise quickly
  • Sound understanding of risk concepts with the ability to apply these concepts to the work of a regulator
  • Understanding of commercial financial products, accounts receivables and the payments industry
  • Strong advocacy and expert drafting skills
  • Expert analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex issues
  • Excellent oral and written capabilities
  • Thrives working within a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight timescales
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders at all levels
