Role Profile

Our Finance Team has undergone a period of rapid change in order to support the growth of the business. As a result we have an opening for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our Transactional team. This role will be key in supporting and driving productivity and efficiency within the Transactional Team. Leading by example and always thinking ahead is a key requirement to be successful in this role

Accountabilities

  • Supplier statement reconciliations of high value, complex accounts
  • Monthly review of postings ensuring coding elements are correct.
  • Review of payment runs in line with scheme of delegation
  • Verification of bank details ensuring this is aligned to the Financial Control Framework
  • Reconciliation of multi-currency bank accounts.
  • Assist with Inter Company reconciliation
  • Production of Transactional month end pack for Debtors and Creditors
  • Assist with the monthly preparation of Accruals & Prepayments
  • Corporate Credit Card reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Control accounts (Payroll, Creditors, intercompany etc)
  • Expenses analysis including identifying trends
  • Sales Ledger invoicing and reconciliation
  • Assist with ongoing system and process development projects
  • Support Transaction Manager with improving and embedding key processes
  • Be key point of contact for colleagues and supplier queries
  • Responsible for process and policy documentation.

Skills and Abilities

  • AAT qualified
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Team Leader or Supervisor skills
  • Strong reconciliation experience
  • Advanced Excel & MS Office skills
  • Understanding of VAT complexities
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment resulting in continual change
