Role Purpose

Own all elements of the financial planning system (Adaptive) and associated modelling, continuing to add to the system’s capabilities as the company continues to grow and evolve.

  • Take full administrative ownership for the financial planning system
  • Own all modelling developments within the financial planning system, ensuring they are relevant to the needs of the business. This includes:
    • Revenue modelling
    • Cost modelling
    • Capex modelling
    • P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow modelling
    • Project and Business Case modelling
  • Work with the rest of the financial planning and analysis team to anticipate future modelling needs
  • Maintain a financial planning system development log and track against it
  • Ensure that the financial planning system continues to provide relevant, insightful and actionable analysis
  • Work with the Systems Accountants and Business Information team to enhance the data captured in the planning system
  • Provide Adaptive training to the rest of the Finance team and wider business

Skills and Abilities

  • Experienced financial modeller, using both planning systems and Excel
  • Experience of the Adaptive system useful, but not essential
  • Accounting qualification useful
  • Financial services experience useful
  • SQL query knowledge useful
  • Strategic thinker
  • Self-motivated, determined, resilient and tenacious
  • High level of drive and energy
  • Pragmatic and commercially astute
  • Customer service orientation
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity and pace
