Role Purpose

Lead a team of Project Managers to deliver BAU projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed and met. Manage key vendor relationships to ensure performance, quality and delivery achieved to project milestones and contractual requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Drive delivery and execution of project portfolio to agreed milestones, ensuring key stakeholders engaged throughout
  • Set out vendor requirements and SLAs and manage performance on routine basis, with escalation for non-delivery or underperformance
  • Develop relationships with Tech teams and Business areas to ensure project requirements captured, scope and milestones agreed
  • Report status across all projects to Transformation Manager and Tech Leadership team, escalating issues and concerns as they arise
  • Re-prioritise delivery in line with changes in demand, capacity and capability, ensuring stakeholders are engaged with changes
  • Track and manage actions and escalations to ensure resolution in timely manner
  • Following delivery, providing lessons learned and activity based actions to improve the department’s delivery capabilities
  • Lead robust daily planning and comms process to ensure PMs and stakeholders aware of priorities and focus
  • Report preparation for project meetings, such as SteerCo
  • Develop team capability through internal growth opportunities, external training and deploying industry best practice

Skills and Abilities

  • Able to manage complex system migration in large portfolio financial services
  • Manage programmes in agile transformation
  • Well versed with agile Release management process, regression automation tools.
  • Has very good knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and to prepare dashboards and various reporting out of JIRA
  • Has experience working with C-level in the organization providing periodic updates and presentations to senior executive members
  • Familiarity in dealing directly with technical functions including architecture, software development, test, release management, database, network, platform and IT operations
  • In-depth knowledge of project management techniques, tools and processes and detailed understanding of Project Management Methodology
  • Team leadership, development and coahing for performance
  • Very good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders/business teams
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management frameworks
  • PMP or Prince2 certification
  • Ability to work and lead independently
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Thrives in a collaborative teamworking environment

  • High degree of personal integrity, honesty and professionalism

This role attracts a salary of £75,000 - £100,000 per annum.
